Since such things are not normally tripped on a safe flight in a well-maintained aircraft, activating the breakers didn't seem worth my time, especially since doing so would add many seldom-used animations and increase script activity. If someone would like to submit them to the Flightgear livery repository, please do.įor the splash screen, I chose Kyokoma's third pic, with Someguy's pic as an alternate should random splashes for aircraft ever be enabled. To reduce the size of the download, I removed several liveries from the package and made them available from my home site, along with Someguy's 'Flames' scheme. The update also includes revisions to the engine simulation. This update includes a simple 'help' page, updates to sounds, and mouse thumb-wheel control for many knobs. Follow the author link below in my sig line for the update. I finally got time to update the Velocity. It's easy to do: associate a property with the circuit breaker, use that property as a 'switch' in the connector circuit, and add a 'pick' animation to toggle them on/off. For my use I don't really require it, and the goal was to keep things simple and fast. do you plan a improvement of your electrical system to accommodate the amperage and power consumption ? First I want to revise the system for multi-engine use. Throttle, prop and mixture use the center wheel, but nothing else does. can you add the using of the center wheel mouse to control the knobs of the instruments ? Maybe I'll use both? Dimensions aren't a problem for me, as long as I can re-size down to 512x512 I'm good. (I probably should be political and go with my wife's choice. I like the first screenshot, my wife likes the third. Thanks very much to everyone who replied! PS: If anyone happens to like this plane and snaps a picturesque screenshot featuring the Velocity, I'd be interested in using your pic for the Velocity's splash-screen on start-up. After FG 2.6 is released and I have time to study the new repository scheme and re-learn Git, if there's enough interest I'll look into submitting this to the Flightgear repository. Paint textures for that fine model will not work with my model.Ĭurrently the model is CC-licensed and is available at my site (click on the author-thing in my sig line below). Please note that this model has no relationship with the Velocity in the Flightgear repository. I strongly recommend viewing the ReadMe before flying, as there are a few things to know especially if you're not familiar with a real Velocity. It comes with four paint schemes and a livery/paint-makers kit is available at the same location if you like that sort of thing. The model has been over year in the works and hopefully will present no problems under FG 2.4.
